Delivery Trucks

Old Truck with this fine specimen from 1912

The picture was taken in Washington DC, and it shows another truck from the Woodward and Lothrop Department Store.

  1. Really enjoyed this post! The evolution of delivery trucks is such a fascinating topic—especially seeing how design and function have shifted over time. It is incredible how utility and style have blended over the decades. Speaking of vehicle use and lifespan, I recently came across a service offering cash for cars in Ipswich, which makes it easier for people to sell old vehicles that are no longer in use. It ties in well with how transport continues to evolve. Great read!

  2. Really enjoyed this — the way these delivery trucks evolved in form and function is really something. Seeing the sturdy builds from a century ago makes me appreciate how far materials and engineering have come (and how beauty was always part of it). It’s the kind of history that makes you think about what becomes of these old machines — ones beyond repair deserve respect, and services like A1 Wreckers remind us there are responsible ways to handle what we outgrow.
